Autumn strips the oak back to its essentials. The leaves are shining but thinning. There is a melancholy beauty here, the knowledge that what is lit so brilliantly tonight will soon be gone.

Schoorl 01: Autumn is part of the Four Seasons open edition. Four photographs of the same crippled oak, captured across all four seasons of a single year in the Schoorl Dunes Nature Reserve in the North of the Netherlands.
